PVR Setting

You can record a service while you are watching another
programme with the digital receiver. And you can play, pause,
resume, and rewind it to watch again. In addition, when you
are watching a live television programme, you can pause,
resume, and even rewind it.
These operations are allowed after setting the PVR options,
Timeshift and Playback Jump Time Interval. These two PVR
options are introduced in the next sections.
7.2.1

Time-Shift

As introduced in the above, you can pause and resume a live
television programme, and even rewind and replay it. When
you are watching a programme and you miss something, you
can rewind and replay it. Or when your attention is needed
elsewhere, you can pause the live television programme and
resume it in a short time without losing any of the programmes.
When you do this, you are no longer watching the live
programme; instead you are watching a delayed presentation.
This is called Time-Shifted television. With this, you can skip
commercials until you catch up to the live broadcast.
To use the Time-Shift feature, you should set the option
Timeshift On. However with the setting of the Timeshift On, it
takes 5 seconds to activate the feature again after switching
channel. The Time-Shift will be reset each time you change to
another service.
