Aastra 673xi / 675xi SIP Telephones Aastra 673xi / 675xi SIP Telephones The telephones of the product family Aastra 673xi / 675xi are Voice over IP (VoIP) telephones in accordance with the internationally standardised SIP standard (Session Initiation Protocol). Connected to the communications system OpenCom 1000 you have additional comfort functions available.

Aastra 6730i and Aastra 6731i Keys Key Description and Function Hold key: puts the current call on hold. Press this key once again to retrieve the call on hold.

Press the right arrow key to select a menu selection or menu page option displayed. The Aastra 6753i, Aastra 6755i and Aastra 6757i telephones are covered together as these models only differ in the number and type of function keys.

Press the More softkey (lower right) multiple times to reach the key level desired. With the Aastra 6757i model the upper softkeys can be configured in two levels.

Aastra 673xi / 675xi SIP Telephones ■ The Aastra 673xi / 675xi does not save any call numbers in the local caller list nor does it offer a local phone book. Configure function keys instead to access the callers list (Caller Lists starting on page 19) and the phone book (please refer to Phone Book starting on page 21) of the OpenCom 1000 communications system.
OpenCom 1000 communications system. 3. Wait for the connection to be set. After about five seconds, the Aastra 673xi / 675xi accepts the entire call number and dials. To speed up dialling, press the hash key after entering the call number.
(see page 16). During call signalling you can press the Ignore softkey to suppress call signalling (on the Aastra 6755i / 6757i). The person calling continues to hear the ringing tone. Note Press a function key with the call protection function (see Call Protection starting on page 16).
Using the Aastra 673xi / 675xi Taking a Call from Another Terminal (Take) You can accept an ongoing call from another terminal on your Aastra 673xi / 675xi and continue it there. To be able to do so, your telephone and the other terminal have to have the same internal call number.
3. Press the Goodbye key to terminate the enquiry call. 4. on the Aastra 6730i / 6731i / 6753i / 6755i / 6757i: Press the trunk key where the first caller is waiting. You are now connected with the caller on hold once again.
On the Aastra6751i You can also toggle between two callers on the Aastra 6751i. To be able to do so, the second caller has to call while you are already telephoning with someone else.
Dropping an individual conference participiant cannot be done using a softkey on the Aastra 6730i / 6731i or on the Aastra 6751i / 6753i. Please refer to the user guide of the respective device for more details on this function.
Before or during a call, press the Handsfree key (on the Aastra 6730i / 6731i and on the Aastra 6751i: the Loudspeaker key ). The speaker is switched on. The red LED indicator next to the Handsfree key lights up.
You can press the Handsfree key in this case in order to accept and end calls You can configure via the Options menu of the Aastra 673xi / 675xi, whether to use the headset or the speaker for handsfree operation (see Settings starting on page 27).
Do the following to delete a programmed speed dialling destination: 1. To do so, start the OCW and open the configuration dialogue for your Aastra 673xi / 675xi (please refer to the chapter Web Configurator of the OpenCom 1000 starting on page 28).
The speed dialling is now saved. Note Speed dialling destinations saved to number keys can be changed or deleted in the Web Configurator of the AastraAastra 673xi / 675xi675xi (please refer to the Changing or deleting a speed dialling destination on page 18). Caller Lists You can configure a function key with a caller list function (see Function Keys Ref- erence starting on page 31).

Using the Aastra 673xi / 675xi Phone Book You can configure on the Aastra 6755i / 6757i a function key with a phone book function (please refer to Function Keys Reference starting on page 31). Use this function key to access the phone books managed on the OpenCom 1000 commu- nications system.
Press the Goodbye key to exit the menu card display. Message Waiting (MWI) The Aastra 673xi / 675xi can receive short messages.The OpenCom 1000 commu- nications system also has a configuration determining whether or not you are informed of incoming e-mails.
1. Press the function key with the Voice mail function. The Voice -Mail menu card appears. 2. If more than one call number was configured for the Aastra 673xi / 675xi select . Confirm using the Select softkey. the line with the navigation keys The voicebox is called.
In this case, you must activate the level with the More softkey so that the LED indicator shows the state of the subscriber connected. Phone Lock You can lock the Aastra 673xi / 675xi to prevent unauthorised use. Locking and unlocking is available without password by default. Note Change the user password as needed via the Aastra 673xi / 675xi Web interface (please refer to Aastra 673xi / 675xi Web Configurator starting on page 29).
2. Confirm the restart with the OK softkey. The Login menu card appears. Log In The Aastra 673xi / 675xi is not in operation or logged out. The Login menu card appears. 1. Use the navigation keys to go to the Callno./ID field.
Login menu card appears. ACD Group An ACD key is available on your Aastra 673xi / 675xi if you are member (agent) of an ACD group (ACD = Automatic Call Distribution), see Web Configurator of the OpenCom 1000 starting on page 28. Members of an ACD-group can be reached under a collective call number.
Settings A description of all possible settings of the Aastra 673xi / 675xi can be found in the user guide of your Aastra 673xi / 675xi telephone (please refer to About this Manual starting on page 8).
Terminals entry. The configuration dialogue for your Aastra 673xi / 675xi opens. 5. In the configuration dialogue of the Aastra 673xi / 675xi click on one of the links under the Programmable keys on terminal / Softkeys on terminal header.
Reference starting on page 31. Aastra 673xi / 675xi Web Configurator You can also change the settings of the Aastra 673xi / 675xi using a separate ter- minal Web Configurator if the administrator of the OpenCom 1000 communica- tions system has authorised this.

Menu entries in the Aastra 673xi / 675xi Web Configurator The Aastra 673xi / 675xi Web Configurator allows you, e.g. to conveniently con- figure speed dialling destinations on the Keypad: Speed Dial page. Especially the telephony functions and key assignments available under Softkeys and XML as well as under Programmable Keys are designed for universal use with communications systems by various manufacturers.
Function Keys Reference Depending on the device type there are various types available and a varying number of function keys available (please refer to Models of the Aastra 673xi / 675xi product family starting on page 1). Note By activating up to four levels, the assignment capacities of each softkey are multiplied on the Aastra 6755i and on the Aastra 6757i.

On the Aastra 6753i only: Starts a conference Aastra 673xi / 675xi Restarting You have to restart the Aastra 673xi / 675xi sometimes, for example, to activate a changed trunk key assignment. Note The operation is analogous on the Aastra 6730i / 6731i and on the Aastra 6751i / 6753i.
It is possible that programming of function keys via the personal Web Configu- rator (OCW) is deactivated by previous local programming via the Web Interface of the Aastra 673xi / 675xi. This can make it necessary to delete the local configu- ration of the Aastra 673xi / 675xi.

Configuring the Aastra 673xi / 675xi Note The operation is analogous on the Aastra 6730i / 6731i and on the Aastra 6751i / 6753i. The key assignment is proposed on the bottom display line. 1. Disconnect the Ethernet connection of the Aastra 673xi / 675xi.
(or the Options key on the Aastra 6751i). If the Aastra 673xi / 675xi has factory settings active, the Options List menu card appears with 7 menu entries in English. Note If the first menu card only contains 3 menu entries (please refer to The Options Menu starting on page 38), the Aastra 673xi / 675xi has already been configured by a communications system via DHCP and TFTP.
The network configuration entered manually is used after the next restart of the Aastra 673xi / 675xi. Then the Aastra 673xi / 675xi loads files from the TFTP server of the communications system. Then if necessary the firmware version of the Aastra 673xi / 675xi is changed to a version suitable to the communications system.
