Adding Music to Your PC

Several MP3 songs are included with Media Manager for your enjoy-
ment. To add more songs to your playlists:

Ripping CDs

CD-ripping is a process to copy music from a CD to your hard disk.
CD-ripping stores your music in digital files called MP3 files.
s i m p l e f i software makes it easy to store your entire music collection
in one convenient location on your computer. With s i m p l e f i, you
can listen to your music collection on your stereo system without the
hassle of managing numerous CDs.
Copying music from your CDs to your computer's hard disk is easy.
A variety of CD-ripping software programs are available for down-
load from the Internet. MusicMatch Jukebox, Audiograbber, and
Real Jukebox are examples of applications you can download from
the Internet to rip CDs.
After downloading and installing CD-ripping software, simply insert a
CD into your CD-ROM drive and select the tracks to rip. CD-ripping
software converts these tracks into MP3 files onto your hard disk.
NOTE:
rate of 128kbps, which is near CD-quality. Songs ripped at 96kbps or
lower require less hard disk space, but are poorer quality. Many CD-
ripping applications default to 128kbps.
