System Configuration Page

The configuration page (Figure 29) is used by the system administrator to configure the PTP
400 Series Bridge.
While the majority of the system configuration is entered during installation and should never
require changing, this page offers the system administrator the ability to change the basic
system parameters for link, modulation and physical components.
Link Name: User defined identity for the unit (max 63 characters).
Link Location: Can be used to describe the location of the equipment or any other
equipment related notes (max 63 characters).
Master Slave Mode: The Master unit is the controlling unit with respect to the point-to-point
link and its maintenance. The master transmits until the link is made, while the Slave listens
for its peer and only transmits when the peer has been identified.
