Recording Audio

The system can record audio on any channels that have audio-capable cameras con-
nected to them. You must have an audio-capable camera (not included) in order to re-
cord audio using the system. The camera must have a built-in microphone or an audio
input cable (for example RCA) for connecting a self-powered microphone.
NOTE
The MIC IN/OUT ports on the rear panel of the system are not supported and cannot be used for audio
recording.
Audio recording without consent is illegal in certain jurisdictions. Lorex Technology Inc. assumes no li-
ability for use of its products that does not confirm with local laws.

23.1 Step 1 of 2: Connecting an audio-capable camera

Connect the camera to the NVR or network. If the camera is connected to the network,
add it to the NVR. For details, see 6.11 Connecting Cameras to the Local Area Network
(LAN), page 15.
Option A: Connect a camera with a built-in microphone.
