To reduce the risk of injury from moving parts -
Unplug before servicing.
The belt is located under the bottom plate of the vacuum
and should be checked from time to time to be sure it is in
good condition.
when to replace
Replace belt if it is damaged, cut or broken.
To check the damaged belt, refer to Fig. 4.19 - 4.26.
how to replace
Place handle in the low position and turn the cleaner over
so the bottom side is up.
4.19 Remove 1 screw as shown with a Phillips screw-
driver.
4.20-21 Push down on 2 clips to release bottom plate and
lift off.
4.22 Remove agitator brushroll and used belt. Discard
used belt.
4.23 With the lettering on the outside of the belt and posi-
tioned as shown, place the belt on to the motor shaft.
4.24 With the belt securely attached to the motor shaft
slide the brush through the belt as shown.
4.25 With the belt attached to the agitator, grasp the agita-
tor firmly and fit it into position by first sliding end oppo-
site of the belt into the rectangular slot on side of cleaner.
Pull other side of agitator into place and turn agitator
making sure the belt is not pinched between agitator and
agitator shield.
4.26 Reattach the bottom plate by hooking the front of the
plate to the cleaner and rotating the plate to the locking
clips. Once locking clips are engaged, replace 1 screw.

lubriCatiOn:
The motor and brushroll are equipped with bearings which
contain sufficient lubrication for their lifetime. The addition
of lubricant could cause damage. Do not add lubricant to
motor or brushroll.
