Chapter 9 Connecting to External Devices — Connecting to the remote operation panel (AK-HRP200G)

Connecting to the remote operation panel (AK-HRP200G)

f You can remotely control some functions by connecting the remote operation panel AK-HRP200G (optional) via IP connection.
f When you connect AK-HRP200G via wired LAN and perform network settings of the camera and the AK-HRP200G, the camera automatically enters
the remote control mode. For the settings of connection, refer to "Setting for connection with remote operation panel (AK-HRP200G)" (page 183).
f You can exit the remote control mode by disconnecting the network from the AK-HRP200G, or removing the network cable and switching the camera's
<POWER> switch from <OFF> to <ON>.

Switch functionality in remote control mode

The following switches and buttons on the camera do not function in remote control mode.
f <SHUTTER> switch
f <MENU> button
f Jog dial button
f <GAIN> selector switch
f <OUTPUT> switch
f <WHITE BAL> switch

Recording and playback operations in remote control mode

Recording and playback operations cannot be performed from remote operation panel AK-HRP200G. You can only perform these operations from the
camera.

Remote control unit connected to the camera

When AK-HRP200G is connected to the camera, AK-HRP200G button operations are as follows:
r Skin tone detail button (<SKINDTL>)
Operation varies depending on the lighting status of the button.
f When the button illuminates, operation is available with the menu setting value of the camera (setting for skin tone detail).
f When the button light goes off, the function of the skin tone detail is set to [OFF], regardless of the camera's menu setting value.
After restarting the camera, the menu setting value is relected in AK-HRP200G.
r Matrix button (<MATRIX>)
Operation is not available.
r Adjusted value display area (4 digits), display selector button for the ND ilter (<ND>)
Zoom and focus are not supported.
r Character/menu button (<CHARA/MENU>)
It operates in the same way as [CHR] is set, which is displayed in the [SET03:MON/HDMI SETUP] screen of the camera's SmartUI.

t To connect the camera and AK-HRP200G directly, use a crossover LAN cable.
t To use the camera as a standalone device, the remote control mode must be disabled.
t The operation of connecting via IP and remote controlling the camera from multiple devices such as the AK-HRP200G cannot be guaranteed.
t For details, refer to the Operating Instructions of AK-HRP200G.
