Damage to the paint coating may allow rust to the ADE which could result in failure of the ADE. This in turn could cause disruption in operation of the Iridium Pilot device or danger from a falling unit. Avoid damaging the paint coating. If damage occurs, re-apply appropriate anti-corrosion paint.

The traffic is routed through the meshed satellite network and lands at the Alaska Ground Station, and, is then routed over terrestrial networks to the Gateway in Arizona. At the gateway, traffic is converted back to internet protocol (IP) and voice, depending on call type and delivered to the IP cloud or the public switched telephone network (PSTN).
