1. Touch
> > S ettings > Sound > V olumes.
2. Adjust the volume for music, video, games, and other media, the ringtone and notification
volume, and the alarm volume.
3. Touch OK to save.
Tip: You can adjust the media volume when a media application is in use by pressing the volume
buttons. If no media application is active, press the volume buttons to adjust ringtone volume (or the
earpiece volume during a call).
Silent Mode
You can set the phone to the silent or vibration mode by using one of the following methods.
Touch
> > S ettings > Sound > Silent mode. Select Vibrate to enable vibration
n
mode or Mute to enable silent mode. Touch Off to turn sound on.
Press and hold the power button and then touch

enable the vibration mode, or touch
Press the volume buttons down when no media application is active. When the
n
in the status bar, the phone is set to the vibration mode. When the
bar, the phone is in the silent mode.
Phone Ringtone
You can select and assign a default ringtone for your incoming calls. If you want to assign a special
ringtone for an individual contact, see Assign a Ringtone to a Contact.
1. Touch
> > S ettings > S ound > P hone ringtone.
2. Scroll through the ringtone list, music file list or recorded sound list and select the ringtone you
want to use.
3. Touch OK to save.
Vibrate When Ringing
You can let the phone vibrate the same time it rings.
Touch
> > S ettings > Sound and tick the Vibrate when ringing check box.

Vibrate Pattern
You can select how the phone vibrates when it rings. The Vibrate when ringing check box should
be ticked to make the phone vibrate.
1. Touch
> > S ettings > S ound > Vibrate pattern.
2. Choose the vibrate pattern you like and touch OK.
