Appendix B – Using the Serial/USB Interface
Every FieldPro RT43 printer is equipped with a Universal Port which contains a Serial Interface. The Serial
Interface may be used for either RS-232C or USB communications depending upon which optional cable is
used.
To attach a cable to the Universal Port, access the connector by moving the lever in the direction shown in
Figure 13 to unlock and remove the connector cover from the bottom of the printer. The connector location is
shown in Figure 14 and the pin assignments are shown in Figure 15.
