ADVANCED SETUP menu items

• Default settings are underlined.
Item Function
REMOTE SENSOR Turns on/off of the remote control sensor on the main unit.
REMOTE CON AMP Selects the unit's remote control ID.
(Asia model only)
TUNER FRQ STEP
Changes the FM/AM tuning frequency setting.
TV FORMAT Switches the video signal type.
MONITOR CHECK Removes the limitation on HDMI video output.
4K MODE Selects the HDMI 4K (60 Hz/50 Hz) signal format.
Creates backup of the settings of the unit, or recovers the settings
RECOV./BACKUP
from the backup.
INITIALIZE Restores the default settings.
FIRM UPDATE Updates the firmware.
VERSION Checks the version of firmware currently installed on the unit.
Turning on/off the remote control sensor

Turn on/off the remote control sensor on the main unit. While the remote control sensor
is turned off, you cannot control the unit from the remote control.
Settings
ON Turns on the remote control sensor.
OFF Turns off the remote control sensor.

Selecting the remote control ID (REMOTE CON AMP)

Change the unit's remote control ID so that it matches the remote control's ID (default:

ID1). When using multiple Yamaha AV receivers, you can set each remote control with a
unique remote control ID for its corresponding receiver.

Perform each of the following steps within 30 seconds. Otherwise, the setting will be
automatically canceled.

Press SETUP.

Use the cursor keys (q/w) to select "PRESET" and press ENTER.

Press RECEIVER z and press ENTER.

Use the numeric keys or cursor keys to enter "5019" (ID1) or "5020" (ID2).

Press ENTER to confirm the setting.
Once the remote control ID is registered successfully, "OK" appears in the display
window.
If "ERROR" appears, registration failed. Repeat from Step 3.

To exit from the setup menu, press SETUP.
• The registered remote control codes (p.149) are not cleared even if you change the remote control ID.
