4.3 Measuring piston ring end gap

Place the piston rings in a gauge or a new cylinder liner, and
measure the gap of each ring with feeler gauges. If the limit
is exceeded, replace all the rings as a set.
Note: Using a piston, push the piston ring squarely into the
gauge or the cylinder liner.

diameter. Replace if the limit is exceeded.
