Remove Battery
1. Tip seat forward. See Figure 24.

2. Disconnect the negative cable and then
the positive cable from the battery.
3. Remove two hex nuts, the 1/4 x 1/2" bolt,
battery hold-down bracket, and battery.
Retain all parts for reinstallation.

Install Battery
Install Factory Battery
See Figure 25.
1. Position battery in battery tray.
2. Align upper hole in hold-down bracket
over the 1/4 x 3/4" bolt. Position bracket
as shown in Figure 25.
3. Align hole in hold-down bracket with hole
in L bracket and insert the 1/4 x 1/2" bolt
through both holes.
4. Secure hold-down bracket with two hex
nuts.
5. Connect positive cable to positive battery
terminal and then the negative cable to
negative battery terminal.
6. Return seat to operating position.
Install U1 Battery
See Figure 26.
1. Remove hex nut from L bracket and
remove L bracket. Retain all parts for
reinstallation.

2. Install U1 battery into battery tray.
3. Insert lower hole in battery hold-down
bracket over the 1/4 x 3/4" bolt. Position
bracket as shown in Figure 27 and secure
with one hex nut.
