Type III cards must be inserted into
PCMCIA Slot 1, which is the slot
farthest from the PTC's cradle
connector. If Slot 0 contains a
PCMCIA radio, Type III cards cannot
be inserted into slot 1.

3. Slot 0 (which may be occupied by a factory-
installed PCMCIA LAN radio) does not have an
eject button. Before inserting a card into Slot 0,
place a loop of tape over the card opposite its
connector so you will be able to remove the card
when necessary.
4. Hold the card label side down and with its
connector toward the PTC; then, insert the card
into the slot.
5. Close the PCMCIA door.
6. Resume the PTC.

Removing a PCMCIA card or device

1. Suspend the PTC.
2. Open the PCMCIA door.
3. If the card is in Slot 0, use the tape as a pull tab to
remove the card. If the card is in slot 1, press the
Eject button located near the PCMCIA slot.
4. Close the PCMCIA door.
5. Resume the PTC.
