7.13 Replacing the Fan

Loosen 6 screws on volute cover (A) and 1 captive
screw (B) on volute case. Remove the volute cover.
Loosen the nut (C) using piston stopper
(5142439-01) in clockwise direction. Remove the
washer (D), fan (E) and washer (F).
There are two washers, one on each side of the
fan.
NOTE!
Loose the nut in clockwise slowly first not to
damage piston head by hitting piston stopper.
You can also separate the engine from the volute
case once the fan is removed.
Loosen the 3 screws (G) on the volute case to
separate the engine.
