Inlet connector (CRIN)

The inlet connector (Fig. 8, Item 2) included in the
scope of delivery is required for the various test adapt-
ers (special accessories). The test adapters (Fig. 8,
Item 3) are used to supply CRIN with internal connec-
tions with test oil by way of the inlet connector. The re-
turn quantity is routed via the hose 1 680 712 360 from
the "Return quantity test connection" (Fig. 8, Item 1) to
the "Return quantity test connection" . There are differ-
ent types of test adapter.

Slip the O-ring 9.5 x 2 (Fig. 9, Item 2) over the inlet
connector (Fig. 9, Item 1).

Fitting test adapter (CRIN)

In the EPS 200 system software, the type number of
the injector-specific test adapter can be displayed
with <F10> after selecting a CRIN. Installation of the
TestData software CD ensures that the type num-
bers of all injector-specific test adapters (special
accessories) available are displayed.

1. Select the test adapter (Fig. 10, Item 2).
2. Check the O-ring in the test adapter for damage
(e.g. cracks).
3. Slide the injector (Fig. 10, Item 1) into the test
adapter. When doing so, the inlet bore must be
aligned with the hole for the inlet connector (Fig. 10,
Item 3).
4. Turn the injector until the high-pressure inlet bore is
visible in the hole for the inlet connector.

It is essential to comply with the specified torque
when tightening the inlet connector. An excessive
tightening torque will result in damage and breakage
of the inlet connector on testing.
5. Screw the inlet connector into the test adapter and
tighten (tightening torque: 20 Nm – 25 Nm).
