TROUBLE SHOOTING

The 3 Point Hitch Mounted Log Splitter uses tractor hydraulic power to move wedge on the end of a
cylinder to split wood or logs. It is a simple and reliable system that requires minimal maintenance.
In the following section, we have listed many of the problems, causes and solutions to the problems that
you may encounter.
If you encounter a problem that is difficult to solve, even after having read through this trouble shooting
section, please call your local dealer or distributor. Before you call, please have this Operator's Manual
and the serial number from your Log Splitter ready.
PROBLEM
Wedge doesn't move.
Wedge jumps.
Control lever does not stay in
detent.

CAUSE
No power.
Wood jammed around stripper.
Wedge frame jamming.
Cold oil.
SOLUTION
Place tractor circuit in detent
to provide oil.
Remove wood.
Lubricate wedge frame wear
plates.
Turn wear plates over.
Wait until oil warms.
Run hydraulics over relief
until oil warms.
