Starting and stopping sanding operations
The sander should not be in contact with
the work surface when you switch the
tool on or off.
Failure to disengage the sander from the
surface when starting or stopping may
cause a poor sanding finish and damage
the belt as well.

Sanding suggestions
Grip the sander firmly in front and back and move the tool back and forth without
applying any pressure. The mere weight of the tool accomplishes an even sanding job.
Pressing down will only reduce efficiency and wear out the belt faster. For longer belt
life, remove grease
etc.
from surface before operations. At the end of each sanding
stroke, shift sander sideways approximately one-half the width of your belt. Keep the
sander
level,
flush with the work, and sand each area for the same amount of time.
