Determine the mounting locations for both outdoor camera and base station using the diagrams above. To ensure people are within view when the camera is mounted, bear in mind the camera’s viewing angle. The typical wall mounting height is 1450mm.

    NOTE: When purchasing additional outdoor cameras or base stations for your system, you must buy the S 9407 and S 9409A products. You cannot expand the system using elements of S 9406A. This is because S 9406A is a primary sys- tem and is coded as such.

  • Page 9 VIDEO DOOR INTERCOM SYSTEM Using The Doorbell When someone presses the outdoor camera call button, their image is displayed automatically on the screen, and a photo is taken and stored. To answer and talk to the person outside press momentarily. This establishes two way, hands free communication.

    Check the door strike is suitable for 12V 0.5A switching output. The door strike must only open when voltage is applied, other configurations (such as door strikes which are constantly powered) are not suitable. If this is not the case you must change the door strike to an Altronics S 5385 or S 5387. Interference on the line: The base station may be picking up interference from other electronic devices located around it.
