REAR SECTION
The manual freewheel lever, anti-tip wheels, and motor/transxaxle assembly are located on the rear section of your
PTV. See figure 6.
WARNING!
your PTV into or taking it out of
freewheel mode, remove the
key from the key switch.
Never sit on the PTV when it is
in freewheel mode. Never put
the PTV in freewheel mode on
any incline.
Manual Freewheel Lever
Whenever you need or want to push your PTV for short distances, you can put it in freewheel mode.
n The manual freewheel lever is located at the top right of the rear section.
n Push forward on the manual freewheel lever to disable the drive system and the brake system.
n You may now push your PTV.
n Push the manual freewheel lever backward to re-engage the drive and the brake systems; this takes your PTV
out of freewheel mode.
Always pull BACKWARD FIRMLY on the manual freewheel lever to put the PTV into drive mode.
Always push FORWARD FIRMLY to put the PTV into freewheel mode.
WARNING! Follow these safety rules when using the freewheel mode:
n
Do not disengage the drive motor when your PTV is on an incline; your PTV could roll
down on its own and cause injury.
n
Before placing your PTV in or taking it out of freewheel mode, ensure the key is
removed from the key switch.
n
Never sit on the PTV when it is in freewheel mode.
n
When you have finished pushing your PTV, always return it to the drive mode (freewheel
lever pushed backward) to lock the brakes.
WARNING! Never operate the manual freewheel lever while seated on the PTV or when the PTV is
on an incline.
WARNING! Only put the PTV in freewheel mode when on a flat surface with the key removed.
Anti-Tip Wheels
The anti-tip wheels are an integral and important safety feature of your PTV. Do not, under any circumstances,
remove the anti-tip wheels from your PTV.
Motor/Transaxle Assembly (Not Shown)
The motor/transaxle assembly is an electromechanical unit that converts electrical energy from your PTV's batter-
ies into the controlled mechanical energy that drives the PTV's wheels.
