2. When you see the message Touch to beam on your phone, touch your screen to
start sharing the content. The app that supports NFC will determine what content to
send.
Tethering & portable hotspot
You can share your phone's mobile data connection via USB or as a portable WLAN
hotspot.
Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > More > Tethering & portable hotspot.

USB tethering

Your computer can share your phone's Internet connection via USB.
1. Connect your phone to your computer with the supplied USB cable.
2. Touch the USB tethering switch to turn it on:
Portable WLAN hotspot
You can turn your phone into a portable WLAN hotspot, so that other devices can share
your phone's data connection.
Touch the Portable WLAN hotspot switch to turn it on:
Set up a WLAN hotspot
You can change your phone's network name (hotspot name), security type, and
password. Other devices need to enter the same password to connect to your phone's
WLAN hotspot.
Depending on the type of data connection sharing, one of these icons appears in the
status bar:
Icon Function
USB tethering active.
Portable WLAN hotspot active.
Both USB tethering and portable WLAN hotspot active.

Bluetooth tethering

You can turn on Bluetooth tethering to share your phone's Internet connection with
other paired devices via Bluetooth.
Touch the Bluetooth tethering switch to turn it on:
NOTE: • Before sharing your phone's Internet connection via Bluetooth, you need to pair with the device
that you want to share the Internet connection with.
