How to use the SET-UP menu (-p.113)
IAUTO POWER OFF
Initialize (format) the Memory Card or internal memory for
use with the camera.

When this function is active and the camera remains
unused for 2 or 5 minutes, it turns camera off.
Use this function when you want to get the maximum
possible running time from your batteries.

CAUTION
The Auto power off function is disabled during slide show
(-p.93), discharging rechargeable batteries (-p.146),
and when a printer or a PC connection (-p.125. 135) is
being used.

Pressing MENU/OK initializes the Memory
Card or internal memory.

CAUTION
• The Format function erases all the frames (files),
including protected frames (files).
Back up important frames (files) onto your PC or
another media.
• Do not open the battery cover or slot cover during
formatting. The Memory Card or internal memory could
be damaged.
