A language-selection dialog is displayed the first time the camera is turned on.

Press the power switch to turn on the camera.
The power-on lamp (green) will light for a moment and
the monitor will turn on.

Choose Yes and press

If No is selected, the date and time will not be set.

Daylight Saving Time
To use the camera in an area where daylight saving time is in
effect, press

on the home time zone in Step 4 to set the
daylight saving time to on. When the daylight saving time
setting is selected, the ~ mark appears on the top of the
monitor. To release the daylight saving time setting, press •.
