10. General instructions
RBDS SYSTEM
This car radio is capable of receiving RBDS signals
(RBDS = Radio Broadcast Data System) on the VHF
band. RBDS is a technology for transmitting inaudi-
ble additional information in the VHF broadcasting
range. This means that the station broadcasts informa-
tion which can be evaluated by the car radio.

tifiable RBDS programs are stored in a list sorted ac-
cording to signal strength. The dynamic autostore,
search and scan search functions use this list.

PTY (Program Type)
Specific types of programs, such as sports, pop music,
classical music etc., can be selected using the PTY
function.
The PTY is transmitted by the RBDS station, provid-
ed this function is installed at the broadcaster. You
can display the selected transmitter's program type or
perform a search for a specific PTY transmitter.
