PREPARATION

The following pages describe the setup/operation in
DVD mode.
Preparation
Before DVD/CD operation, please make preparations as
follows.

Insert the AC cord plug into a standard 230V 50Hz AC
outlet.
• If the AC cord plug is plugged in for the first time, wait
for about 5 seconds before pressing Sub Power ( ).
NOTE: When connecting to other equipment, unplug
the unit from the AC outlet.

Press Sub Power ( ) on the unit or on the remote
control to turn on the unit.
• Every time you press Sub Power ( ), the unit starts
from TV mode.
• When using an amplifier, switch on the amplifier.

Press DVD to select DVD
mode.
The DVD startup screen will
appear on the screen.

STATUS DISPLAY OF DISC

Press info (CALL). The status display of the disc will
appear on the screen during playback.

• When you play the CD disc, the status display will
appear on the screen and continue displaying.
NOTE:
If the unit does not operate properly: Static electricity can ad-
versely affect the operation of this player. Sometimes this can be
remedied by unplugging the unit for a short time, then reconnect-
ing it.

SETTING LANGUAGE

You can change the default settings to customise
performance to your preference.

Press SETUP in the
stop mode.
Press or to se-
lect "Idioma", then
press or ENTER.

Press or to se-
lect "OSD Idioma", then
press or ENTER.

Press or to se-
lect desired language
(e.g. Espanol), then
press ENTER.
The menu returns to
"Idioma" menu auto-
matically.
• If you want to return to the previous menu, press
or RETURN.

Repeat steps 2-3 for other "Idioma" setting.
Other Selection: (Menu/Audio/Subtitulo)
If you want to select another language, enter the lan-
guage code (see the "Language code list" on page 36).
Off: (Subtitulo)
Subtitles do not appear.

Press SETUP to remove the Menu screen.
NOTES:
• If the selected soundtrack language is not recorded on
the disc, the original language will be heard.
• If the selected subtitle language is not recorded on the
disc, the first-priority language is selected.
