CATEGORY C – inshore: Craft designed for voyages in
coastal waters, large bays, estuaries, lakes and rivers, where
conditions up to and including wind force of 5 beaufort and
significant wave heights up to and including 2m may be
experienced.
The Nacra range of crafts comply with this design category is
subject to:
 A crew having suitable skill and experience.
 Satisfactory maintenance of the craft and its equipment.
 Support the crew even when swamped.
 Be recovered by the crew after capsize.
Users of the craft should comply that:
 All crew should receive suitable training.
 Trapeze shall not be used carrying more than 2 persons.
 The craft shall not carry more than the maximum load.
 All inspection hatches and drains shall be closed
 Bilge water shall be kept to a minimum.
 Stability is reduced by any weight added above the cen-
