Display Contrast
1. Press the front panel DSM, key to return the display
to normal.
2. Adjust R752 (CONTRAST) for the desired display
contrast.

Cover Replacement
After calibration, replace the top and bottom covers, and
secure them with the four screws removed earlier. Be
careful not to scratch the conductive coating applied to
the inside of the covers, and be sure not to peel off the
front panel polyester film.
3.4
FAN FILTER CLEANING
The fan filter should be cleaned at least once every three
months when the unit is operated in a clean environment
or at least once a month when the unit is operated in a
dirty environment. The fan filter element should be
cleaned as follows:

CAUTION
The instrument
should not be operated
without the filter in place.

FCTN OUT JUMPER
The FCTN OUT jumper, which is located on the control
board, allows you to select whether or not the output sig-
nal is turned on when power is first applied to the instru-
ment. (As shipped, FCTN OUT is enabled when power is
turned on). Use the procedure below to set the jumper
position.
1. Disconnect the line cord and all other instruments
from the Model 3930A.
2. Remove the top and bottom covers (see paragraph
3.3.5 for details).
