DC Voltage Accuracy
1. Connect the function synthesizer to a DMM as
shown in Figure 1-2. Turn on both instruments.
2. Restore factory defaults on the Model 3930A by
pressing SHIFT. PRST.
3.
Program the DC function, OHz, 2.OOmV amplitude,
with +15V offset.
4. Set the DMM to measure DC volts with autoranging,
and verify that the voltage reading is within the lim-
its specified in Table 1-7.
5. Change the offset setting of the synthesizer accord-
ing to Table 1-7, and verify the subsequent voltage
readings.

DC Level (Square) and DC Offset

1. Connect the function synthesizer to a DMM as
shown in Figure 1-2. Turn on both instruments.
2. Restore factory defaults on the Model 3930A by
pressing SHIFT PRST.
3.
Program a 7.49Vp-p square wave, gated mode, Ext
1 trigger source, and +90" of phase.
4. Set the DMM to measure DC volts with autoranging,
and verify that the voltage reading is within the lim-
its specified in Table l-8.
5. Change the function, amplitude,
mode, trigger
source, and phase settings of the synthesizer accord-
ing to Table 1-8 and verify the voltage readings.

Rise and Fall Times
1. Connect the function synthesizer to a timer/counter
as shown in Figure l-1. Turn on both instruments.
2. Restore factory defaults on the Model 393014 by
pressing SHIFT PRST.
3.
Program a lOOkHI square wave (FXD50) of 3OVp-p.
4. Set the timer/counter
to measure rise/fall times of
Channel A and verify that the rise time is within the
limit specified in Table 1-9. Then change the slope to
measure the fall time and verify the reading.
5. Change the amplitude setting of the synthesizer ac-
cording to Table 1-9 and verify the remaining rise/
fall times.
