    I. Introduction Thank you for using the smartLAB ® walk P+ 3-D step counter. Because of its small and handy form and its appealing design, this device suits best your needs for the control of walked distances. Because of the integrated 3-D sensor technology, this device counts normal steps as well as lunges or backward steps.

    III. Setup & Functions Inserting the battery In order to change/ insert the battery, you need to unscrew the battery lid on the back of the device. Place the coin cell with the plus side to top into the opening. If you change the battery, use the screwdriver to lever off the battery.

    Mounting the carrying cord You can wear your smartLAB walk P+ with the carrying cord included in the set. To ® do so, you will have to connect the cord to the device by doing the following steps: Push the thin end of the cord through the two tiny eyes at the back side of the device.

    Before first use: Before first using your smartLAB walk P+ step counter, please hold the „Disp/Set“ ® button pressed for more than 3 seconds. The device will go on and enters the setting mode. The smartLAB ® walk P+ step counter has an automatic setup function (Heart Beat).
  • Page 8 With the “M/” button you can adjust your weight. You can only increase the value. After reaching the maximum level of 200 kg, smartLAB walk P+ will start ® with 30 kg again. In order to use it, transmitting- and receiving device must be equipped with a specific module. Your smartLAB ® walk P+ step counter has an integrated ANT module, making it possible to transfer measured data to a PC, laptop or a mobile phone (e.g.
  • Page 11 1. Per 10 minutes mode (recommended) 2. Heart Beat mode Setting the Per 10 minutes ANT mode: In this mode data will be sent out every 10 minutes to the accordant receiving device. All data which was stored during the last time interval will be sent out then. You can see the automatic mode in picture 5.

Is there any receiving device in reach which supports this function, the step counter will be set automatically. After the step counter was set, the heart beat function will start again every 30 minutes.

    Manually transfer Not Sent data You can also manually trigger data transfer to the receiving device. To do so, you first have to turn on SEND mode on your smartLAB ® walk P+ device. Please quickly press and release the “Disp/ Set” button, and then press it again for 6 seconds.

    Starting up After having set time and step length, you can use your smartLAB • walk P+ ® step counter. Just take the device and start walking. The device will turn on automatically when it registeres a movement. The display will read “HELLO”...

    Locking your device: If no button is pushed for 30 seconds, your smartLAB ® walk P+ automatically activates key lock. This is shown by the according display symbol. By pushing the „Disp/ Set“ button, you can unlock the device. Display-power-off: When you are in user mode, your device automatically turns off after 1 minutes of non-use.
