In the Key Management section, use the arrow key to select Clear secure boot keys.

Use the spacebar to select clear.

F10
to accept changes.

From the main menu, select File > Save Changes and Exit.

Re-enter F10 Setup.

If the Ownership Tag or Asset Tag is set, manually clear it under Security > System IDs.

Select File > Save Changes and Exit.

To clear the Setup or Power-On passwords if set, re-enter F10 Setup.

Select the Security menu and select Password Options if available.

If it displays and is set to 'enabled', disable the Stringent Password setting.
21.
Press
F10
to accept changes.

From the main menu, select File > Save Changes and Exit.

Turn off the computer, and then remove the access panel.
24.
On the system board, locate the green, two-pin password jumper on header E49 (labeled PSWD)
and remove it.
25.
Disconnect the power cord, and then wait 10 seconds to let AC power drain out of the computer.
26.
Press the clear CMOS button (typically a yellow push button (labeled CMOS) on the system
board).
27.
Replace the power cord and access panel. The passwords are now cleared and all other user-
configurable, non-volatile memory settings are reset to their factory default values.
28.
Turn on the computer and enter the Computer Setup Utility.
29.
Select File > Default Setup > Restore Factory Settings as Default. This action resets
settings back to their factory defaults.
30.
Select File > Apply Defaults and Exit.
31.
Shut down the computer, remove the power cord, remove the access panel, and then replace the
green jumper onto header E49. Replace the access panel and power cord.
If Absolute Persistence Module is enabled on the computer, see the service provider for instruction to
disable the feature.
