3. Configure the Modem
N o te : It is re com m en ded that you co nfig ure the m odem from a w ired com puter. In the exam ple below,
the A D S L co nnection type is PPPoE. If you are uncertain o f yo u r co nnection type, co ntact yo u r ISP for
additional inform ation. P lease also re fe r to the user's m anual fo r non P PPoE installations
1. O pen yo u r w e b brow ser; the w iza rd w ill au to m a tica lly start. S e le ct yo u r A D S L co nnection type and
then click N e x t. If the w iza rd does not appear, type http://192 .1 68.10 1 into the ad dre ss ba r o f your
w e b brow ser, an d press enter. E nter yo u r U se rna m e an d P assw ord, click L o g in , click S e tu p and
then click S e tu p W iz a rd . You can find the de fa ult usern am e an d pa ssw ord on the labels on the top
and bottom o f the router.
2. S elect A u to -d e te c t and then click N ext.
3. P lease w a it w hile the m odem scans fo r the pro p e r V P I and VC I settings. If the m odem is having
trouble de te cting the pro p e r VPI an d VC I settings, please click S k ip S ca n . T hen co n ta ct yo u r
Internet S ervice P rovider (ISP) fo r the pro p e r VPI an d VC I settings.
