MiFi Settings Basics Open the MiFi Device Settings To open the MiFi device settings, follow these steps. ➊ Open your Web browser and enter http://mifi.admin into the address window. ➋ Type the administrative password into the Login box in the upper right corner and click Login.

Advanced: Advanced Options/Settings The Advanced menu includes the Advanced Options/Settings screen. Click Advanced Options in the Advanced menu to access the Advanced Settings screen. The Advanced Settings screen allows you to enable SSID broadcast, auto-connect to the network, DHCP, VPN passthrough, or the system log. The Advanced Settings screen is divided into the following sections.
Access Point The Access Point section displays: SSID broadcast enable — enabling SSID broadcasting allows other nearby computers to see • your MiFi device’s network name (SSID). This is what you see when you select View Available Wireless Networks. Disabling SSID broadcasting provides additional security, but you will have to re-enable it if you lose your automatic connection.
Router The Router section displays: DHCP Server enable — enabling the DHCP server allows your MiFi device to automatically • assign a local IP address to a new device joining your network (such as a wireless printer or an additional laptop). When the DHCP server is disabled, you will have to assign static IP addresses to all devices on your network.

Enable Port Filtering Port filtering can be enabled for standard (allowed) applications. (See Enable Port Filtering for Allowed Applications on page 54.) Your MiFi device can switch to a low-power mode when it is idle. The Power Management screen allows you to set the maximum time before your MiFi device switches to low-power mode.
LED Control To set the LED control for your device, follow these steps. ➊ Select the Disable LEDs check box to disable your MiFi device's LEDs. ➋ Click Apply. NOTE The Disable LEDs option turns off all LEDs except for critical errors and low battery. AC Power To set the AC power options for your device, follow these steps.
Battery Power To set the amount of time that elapses before your MiFi device switches to low-power mode when not in use follow these steps. ➊ Select the desired time that elapses before your MiFi device switches to low-power mode when not in use (2 to 60 minutes), or select Never to disable this feature when your device is on battery power.
