Cleaning Instructions for the Semak Rice Cooker

1. After cooking is completed, unplug the AC cord. When the body is cooled clean
the body and parts of the cooker as follows:
2. Use a clean cloth to wipe the body of the cooker
3. Remove the pan and inner lid from the cooker and clean them with hot soapy
water and rinse. Thoroughly dry with a soft cloth.
4. Wipe the outside of the body and outer lid with a soft damp cloth.
5. Do not clean any part of this appliance with abrasive or harsh cleaners
6. Do not immerse any part of the cooker in water except the pan, steamer plate,
inner lid and dew collector.
7. Grains of rice and other foreign matter may stick to the heating plate. These
must be removed to prevent improper cooking or damage to the plate. Remove
with a soft damp cloth.
8. Improper cleaning of the appliance may lead to unpleasant odors.
9. Any residue of vinegar and salt may cause damage to the Teflon coating and
pan. Ensure that all residues are removed in cleaning.
10.
Protect Teflon coating by using plastic or wooden rice scoop. Do not use
metal scoops, spoons, forks knives or other metal objects in the pan. Over time
the colour of the Teflon coating may change but will not affect the performance
of the non-stick properties.
