Programming the Informa

Informa is on standby when only the green Power
LED "ON" is lit. To program the Informa, you must
enter programming mode by keying in a 4-digit code
on the keypad. This code is factory set to 0123 but
your installer may have changed it.
Key in the code. If it is valid, all 4 red LED
indicators will light. Once in programming mode
you can carry out any of the functions on the
following pages:
The Informa Tones
The Informa uses two distinct tones to confirm an
action or to alert you to an error:
To confirm an action, the Informa sounds a fast
double-beep.
To alert you to an error, the Informa sounds two
long tones.
Changing a Telephone Number
a) Press TEL.
b) Press the number corresponding to the
memorised telephone number to be changed
(1, 2 or 3).
c) Enter the digits of the telephone number; 21
digits are allowed or the number is accepted
automatically upon entry of the 21st digit.
If a number of less than 21 digits is required,
press Tel to end the entry of the number.
If you make a mistake press QUIT to cancel.
Note: The Informa cannot contact the emergency
services directly. It will not accept any telephone
number starting with 999 or 112.
Deleting a Telephone Number
a) Press TEL.
b) Press the number corresponding to the
telephone number to be deleted (1, 2 or 3).
c) Press TEL.

Recording a Message

a) Press REC.

b) Press the message number to be recorded
(1, 2, 3 or 4).
Informa will pause for 1 second then sound a
tone for 1 second.
c) Now speak clearly into the microphone, which
is just below the LEDs.
The Informa automatically stops recording at
the end of the message duration. After a short
interval, it plays back the message just recorded.
If the announcement to be recorded in message 1 is
much shorter than 11 seconds you can stop the
recording at any time by pressing PLAY.

Playing Back Messages
a) Press PLAY. LEDs 1 to 4 will flash.
b) Press the message number to be played
(1, 2, 3 or 4).
After a short interval, Informa plays the selected
message.
Controlling the Volume
From programming mode, you can alter the volume
of the messages when they are played back.
By default the Informa uses volume Medium 1.
Key in your 4-digit customer code.
a) Press 1 to enter volume control mode.
b) Press:
[1] to select Minimum volume
[2] to select Medium 1 volume
[3] to select Medium 2 volume
[4] to select Maximum volume.
Press QUIT to leave programming mode.
Testing the Informa
The Informa can perform a test call, in order to check
that the telephone numbers have been set up
correctly.
During a test call the playback speaker will be turned
on so that you can hear how the call progresses. To
generate a test call:
a) Press TEST. LEDs 1 to 3 flash.
