At the same time, you can configure advanced features for security, QoS, and Spanning Tree using its web-based utility. Full-duplex operation allows data to be sent and received simultaneously, doubling a port’s potential data throughput. If you will be using the Switch in full-duplex mode, the maximum cable length using Category 5 cable is 328 feet (100 meters). -

Chapter Placement Options There are two ways to physically install the Switch, either hang the Switch on a wall using its wall-mount slots or place it on a desktop. Wall-Mount Placement You will need 2 suitable screws to mount the Switch. -

When enabled, the Switch will attempt to obtain an IP address from a DHCP server on your network. If an IP address is not obtained, the Switch will use the IP address defined in the IP Address field below. IP Address The IP address assigned to the Switch can be modified in this field. -

You can create up to two LAGs on the Switch. Each LAG can contain up to five/eight ports. Port > Link Aggregation Displays the LAG number. -

Security > Static MAC Address Static MAC Address allows you to configure a switch port with the MAC address of one or more devices that are authorized to access the network through that port. The MAC address is bound to the ingress port specified on the list and does not allow the MAC address to change ports. -
