then the Router will not receive a reply. To restore the connection, reboot the Router to restore all settings; the
data card will automatically try to connect after the Router powers up. If you enable this feature, then the
Router reboots after the specified number of seconds since the last ICMP reply was received. Enter the
number of seconds. The default is 300.
Keep Alive Server1. Enter the IP address of the server.
Keep Alive Server2. Enter the IP address of the server.
To enable the function:
1. The Router pings the Keep Alive Server1 every 30 seconds.
2. If there is no ping reply, the Router will continue to ping the Keep Alive Server1 five times.
3. If the Router receives the ping reply, then the timer and counter will reset. If two servers are specified, the
ICMP echo request timing will be interleaved equally between the servers. For example, if the interval is
20 seconds, server 1 will be sent its first echo request at 0 seconds, and server 2 will be sent its first echo
request at 10 seconds. Server 1's second request will be sent at 20 seconds, and so forth. If there are
more than three missed replies, then the connection will be terminated and restarted.
4. The router will disconnect the connection automatically if it doesn't receive the reply from Keep Alive
Server2. (Total time => Server1: 6 times, Server2: 5 times)
5. The Router will try to reconnect after the Keep Alive Redial Period.
Disconnect if idle for. If you want to disconnect the Router from the HSDPA/3G/UMTS or GPRS network if no data
has been sent or received from the Vodafone network for a specific period of time, then enter the number of
minutes you want to specify in the field provided.
PAP or CHAP
Authentication. Select the authentication type used by your service provider: PAP or CHAP. If you do not know
which type to use, select Auto.
APN Configuration
APN Selection Mode. Configure how the Router will selects its Access Point Name (APN) or network. If you want
the Router to select a suitable APN based on the current SIM card, select Auto. If you want to override the
automatic selection, select Manual. Then select a suitable APN from the Home Network drop-down menu. If you
want to specify values that may not be in the standard configuration (such as a corporate APN), select Custom
