Preparations for Counting

1.
When carrying the sorter, hold it firmly using the handles on both sides.
2.
Place the sorter on a stable and flat surface.
3.
If bagging coins using bagging attachments, clamp the sorter to the mounting surface using the optional machine stabilizer kit.
4.
Confirm that the POWER switch on the control panel is turned OFF.
5.
Plug the DC plug of the AC adapter into the sorter (on the left-hand side facing the machine) and connect the AC plug of the adapter
into a household outlet (120VAC / 60 Hz). Use only the AC adapter included with the sorter.
Caution

Sorting and Counting Operation

1.
Turn the POWER switch to ON.
2.
Press the BATCH button to turn batch mode on if desired.
Batching should be used when bagging or packaging a specific
number of coins. If using the drawers included with the sorter,
batch mode must be on to prevent the drawers from overfilling.
3.
Open the hopper cover on the left side, check the red FILL
LINE indicator in the hopper and place the coins to be sorted in
the hopper.
Do not put coins in the hopper above the red FILL LINE.
If you have more coins than will fit in the hopper below the red
FILL LINE, count them in batches.
Caution
Do not put any coins in the hopper other than U. S.
pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars.
Do not put any foreign objects into the hopper such
as paper, rubber bands or paper clips.
4.
After placing the coins in the hopper, always close the hopper
cover and sorter cover.
For safety reasons, the sorter will not operate if either cover
is left open.
5.
Counting will begin when the MOTOR button is pressed.
For safety reasons, the sorter will stop if the hopper cover or
sorter cover is opened during sorting. Sorting will resume
when the cover is closed and the MOTOR switch is pressed.
6.
When sorting is complete, the counted amount will be shown
on the display. This is the CURRENT COUNT.
7.
If the MOTOR button is pressed after confirming that there are
no coins remaining in the hopper, the motor will stop.
If the MOTOR button is not pressed, the motor will
automatically stop after approximately 10 seconds.
When sorting a new batch of coins successively, place the
coins in the hopper and press the MOTOR switch again.
When carrying the sorter, hold it firmly using the handles on both sides. If it is
dropped, it may result in injury and/or damage to the machine.
Carefully set the sorter into place and avoid sudden impacts as this may lead to
malfunction.

Stopping the Motor During Counting
Counting will stop if the MOTOR button is pushed.
To resume counting, press the MOTOR button again.
Displaying Dollar Amounts or Coin
Counts
The displayed content on the counter display will change
depending on whether the DOLLAR VALUE / COUNT
switch is set to DOLLAR VALUE or COUNT.
1. When set to DOLLAR VALUE - If the COIN SELECT
button is pushed, the position of the coin indicator
light will change and the dollar value of the indicated
coin size will be displayed.
2. When set to COUNT - If the COIN SELECT button is
pushed, the position of the coin indicator light will
change and the coin count of the indicated coin size
will be displayed.
Adding the CURRENT COUNT to the GRAND
TOTAL
1. If the STORE button is pushed each time after
counting is complete, the CURRENT COUNT will be
added to the GRAND TOTAL.
The CURRENT COUNT display will be cleared at this
time.
2. To display the GRAND TOTAL, press the GRAND
TOTAL button. Use the DOLLAR VALUE / COUNT
button to select the display mode.
Use the COIN SELECT button to display the GRAND
TOTAL for
a specific denomination.
