RESETTING (CLOSING) THE DOOR
After the 500 ST door is opened by using the Emergency Egress Strap, the door must be carefully re-set to
ensure proper operation in the future. First, firmly hold strap, then press the Cam Buckle Release. See
Closing Step 1 below. Caution: When the Cam Buckle is released, the door will rapidly close unless
tension is held on the strap. Keep fingers away from buckle while closing.
Gradually feed strap through Cam Buckle until the LIMIT mark is at the Cam Buckle base. See Steps 2
and 3. Place strap securely in retainers to prevent the strap from drooping in the center. See Step 4.
Cycle the door up and down in normal operating mode to ensure proper re-setting of the door. Adjust if necessary.
Door should now function normally.
