With the release of model SE84UFO, The SuperZen works with either 4 or 8 ohm
speakers via a switch just in front of each pair of speaker binding posts that allows you
to select either setting while you listen to music.
!
Building on the incredible proprietary output transformers described on the previous
page, we have taken our transformer to the next and highest level possible by
increasing the laminations and doing a high precision wind with more interleaving. The
result is lower distortion, wider bandwidth, flatter response which translates into higher
resolution. This is exciting because the Zen Triode Amplifier has for nearly 20 years
been THE standard for resolution. It was so good in fact that we didn't think it could
get better, but we were wrong.

We call these new transformers UFO transformers. UFO stands for Ultra Fidelity
Output, but it is also affectionally associated with Aliens abducting the first SE84UFO
as it's web page pictures were being taken.
