Problem
Burner will not light with match

Irregular flame pattern, flame
does not run the full length of
burner
Flame is yellow or orange

Possible Cause
LP gas tank is low or empty
No gas flow
LP gas leak
Spider webs or insect nest in burner/
venturi tube
Burner ports clogged or blocked
Out of gas
Burner ports are clogged or blocked
New burner may have residual
manufacturing oils
Spider webs or insect nest in burner/
venturi tube
Poor alignment of valve to burner/
venturi tube
Prevention/Cure
Replace LP gas tank
1. Turn control knob to " OFF"
2. Disconnect LP gas tank per "Disonnecting LP Gas
Tank" section
3. Clear any debris from valve
4. Connect LP gas tank per "Connecting LP Gas
Tank" section
1. Turn LP gas tank valve to "CLOSED"
2. Wait 5 minutes for gas to clear
3. Follow "Checking for Leaks" section
Clean burner/venturi tube
Clean burner ports
Replace LP gas tank
Clean burner ports
Burn outdoor fireplace for 15 minutes and reinspect
Clean burner/venturi tube
Ensure burner/venturi tube is properly engaged with
valve
