    Useful Information Note: Battery characteristic varies on factors such as ambient temperature, charging method, load current, aging, etc. For example, at low temperature the chemicals of the battery are more inactive, thus decreasing the output power. The battery gauge should only be used as a reference. Please do not expect it to show the exact amount of the power remaining.

    Components and Functions COMPONENTS AND FUNCTIONS Hard Disk Drive The Hard Disk Drive (HDD) is a 2.5” type standard IDE interface data storage device. HDD is user removable. This provides convenience and security. It can ONLY be removed while power is OFF. Note: NEVER drop your HDD module or expose it to high temperature, high humidity, or any hazardous environment.

    BIOS Setup BIOS SETUP Press [Del] at boot up to enter BIOS setup. Use arrow keys to select options and [PgUp] [PgDn] to modify them. When finished, move to ”Save & Exit Setup” to save the settings and exit. Note: The setup contents may vary depending on computer configuration. Set up power management under Windows 2000/ME/XP Control Panel. These OS would enable ACPI mode (Windows 95 enables APM mode). Set this menu only for OS which do not support ACPI or APM (DOS, Windows NT, etc.).

    BIOS Setup The system will create a file on the HDD to store memory data with size of 140MB. You must specify a file size larger than your system memory plus video memory (8MB). For instance, if system memory is 128MB you should at least set 136MB (a little more recommended).

    BIOS Setup Defaults Load Fail-Safe Defaults: Load the factory setup parameters by this option. Default setup is usually the most fail-safe setting. Be sure to add your personal setup if there are additional devices installed. Security Set Password: Set the password for the user who works with this computer.
