- Page 3 R480 shown. Step#3 Next, turn the laptop over and push in the 3 plastic clips that hold the keyboard into place. Insert a small screwdriver into the 3 slots above the keys 'F3', 'F9' and 'Home' for the R580 (shown). The clips for the R480 are above the 'F2', 'F8' and 'PauseBreak' keys.
- Page 4 Step#4 The final step is to remove the keyboard cable from the lockdown clip. To do this, simply lift up on the black connector (highlighted yellow in photo). Slide the cable out of the connector and you are done! R580 shown. Reverse procedure to install your new keyboard.
