In idle mode, select 'Menu' and go to 'Contacts'.

If you'd like to add a new contact to your phone memory, simply select 'Add new
contact'. Then you can enter all the details you want.

If you'd prefer to add a new contact to the SIM memory, select
'Options' 'Phonebook settings'
