  • Page 8 Connect the satellite dish, and video and audio output cables as shown. If you are using the RF output of the DECODER, then select a channel on your TV set and tune the TV to the DECODER output signal. If you are using the Analogue audio (RCA cables) and video connections, as shown above, select AV as a source on your TV set.

    3. Troubleshooting There are several factors that can affect a quality signal being received. Some of these, as previously mentioned, could be weather or incorrect alignment of the satellite dish. Listed below are some examples of issues that could be experienced if you have completed the installation process and no broadcast is displayed.

    4. Adjusting the Aspect Ratio The video that is broadcast is originally setup for televisions with an aspect ratio of 16:9. Most televisions nowadays have this setting readily available and are set for it. However, the older televisions operate with an aspect ratio of 4:3, which produces a shorter and broader picture.
