Pointer
When turned On, a pointer displays on the screen to show S
Pen position.
1. From the Settings screen, touch S Pen.
2. Under General, touch Pointer
feature On or Off.
3. Touch Pointer to view a description of the Pointer
function.
Direct pen input
When enabled, your device displays the handwriting pad
within the text input area when the S Pen is detected.
1. From the Settings screen, touch S Pen.
2. Under General, touch Direct pen input to enable or
disable the setting.

Pen detachment options
When enabled, your device takes a selected action when you
detach the S Pen. Choose from: None, Action Memo, or Air
command.
1. From the Settings screen, touch S Pen.
2. Under General, touch Pen detachment options to select
None (no action), launch the Action Memo app, or
launch the Air command menu.
Pen attach/detach sound
Choose a sound to play when you attach or detach the S Pen
from your device.
1. From the Settings screen, touch S Pen.
2. Under General, touch Pen attach/detach sound to
choose Off (no sound), Sound1, Sound2, or Sound3.
