Mode Selection
Use the auto mode selector lever to switch between manual (P, S, A, M) and auto modes.

■ P, S, A, and M Modes

Rotate the auto mode selector lever to z to take
pictures in P, S, A, and M modes.
Aperture Aperture
Aperture can be adjusted using the lens aperture
ring. If the lens is not equipped with an aperture ring,
aperture can be adjusted using the e APERTURE
SETTING option in the shooting menu (P 98). Select
an option other than AUTO to adjust aperture using
the rear command dial.

■ Auto Modes

Rotate the auto mode selector lever to AUTO to let
the camera adjust settings to suit the subject.
Scene Selection Scene Selection
In auto mode, you choose options for diff erent sub-
ject types by rotating the rear command dial or using
the A SCENE POSITION option the shooting menu.
