problem
iPod doesn't fit into iThunder
No sound or very low volume
iPod isn't charging
Handle doesn't pop up properly
iPod wheel doesn't control volume
Backlight does not turn on or off from
remote
possible solution
a. Make sure the correct insert for your iPod model is being used. Note: the iPod Photo, the Original and
2nd generation iPods do not require an insert.
b. Check the fit of the insert. Be sure the labeling for the insert faces the rear and that the insert slides in front of the
tabs in the iPod holder. If not installed correctly, the iPod will not properly connect to the iThunder.
a. Slide power switch located on top panel of iThunder to the "on" position.
b. Remove any devices and cables connected to the AUX input located on the back panel of the iThunder.
c. If running on batteries (not AC), the power cord must be disconnected from the iThunder.
d. If using the AUX input from the headphone jack of an mp3 player or similar device, adjust that device's output
level.
e. The iThunder may be muted. Press the mute button on the remote to restore volume. If the remote isn't available,
slide the power switch on the iThunder off and back on again.
f. Push the play/pause button on your iPod. Your iPod may have paused when the headphone plug was removed.
a. AC power cord must be plugged in to charge your iPod. The iThunder will not charge the iPod when
running on batteries.
b. Make sure the iPod is connected to the iThunder correctly using the appropriate included insert.
Push both sides of handle down into the locked position, then push the handle down in the center and release.
This is normal function when the iPod is docked into the iThunder. Volume of the iThunder will only be controlled by
the iThunder's volume buttons (located on top of the iThunder and on the iThunder remote control). Note: the iPod
wheel will still control the iPod's outputs through the headphone jack when connected to the iThunder.
Be sure that the Backlight Timer is not set to Off on the iPod. Note: due to a change in functionality, this feature is not
available for 3rd generation iPods.
