    Using the Repeater How it Works The XDECT R001 repeater works to extend the range of the XDECT R055, XDECT R035, Elite 9035BT or Elite 9045BT base in just the same way as the repeater/charger unit. The only difference is the XDECT R001 repeater and handset-charger are separate units.

    Registering the Repeater If the base has an LCD display, open the menu on the base when the phone is not in use and select Register Handset. If the base DOES NOT have an LCD display, press and hold on the base FIND when the phone is not in use (about 5 seconds).
  • Page 5 Picking the best spot The best spot for the repeater is as far from the base as possible while still maintaining a good signal, or near the edge of the base’s coverage area. To find the edge of the coverage area: Stand near the base and make a call on the handset.
