• Keep hands and face away when pressure exhaust valve is releasing pressure.
DO NOT touch the housing while cooking.
• Use only plastic paddle/spatula on the inner pot in order to keep the non-stick finish
from scratches. The inner pot cannot be heated in a stove or oven. DO NOT block up
the lid with a dishcloth.
• This appliance cooks under pressure. Improper use may result in scalding injury. Make
certain unit is properly closed before operating. See "Operating Instructions."
• DO NOT fill the unit over the 2/3 marking. When cooking foods that expand during
cooking such as rice or dried vegetables, do not fill the unit over ½ full. Over filling may
cause clogging unit and developing excess pressure. See "Operating Instructions."
• Be aware that certain foods, such as applesauce, cranberries, pearl barley, oatmeal or
other cereals, split peas, noodles, macaroni, rhubarb, or spaghetti can foam, froth, and
sputter, and clog the pressure release device (steam vent). These foods should not be
cooked under pressure in the multi-cooker.
• Always check the pressure release valves for clogging before use.
• DO NOT open the multi-cooker until the unit has cooled and all internal pressure has
been released. If the lid is difficult to turn, it indicates that the cooker is still pressurized
– do not force it open. Any pressure in the cooker can be hazardous. See "Operating
Instructions."
• DO NOT use this multi-cooker for pressure frying with oil. Do not place oil into inner pot
or close lid in browning mode.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children, or
incapacitated individuals.
• This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or sepa-
rate remote-control system.

SPECIAL CORD SET INSTRUCTIONS
1. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
2. An extension cord may be purchased and used if care is exercised in its use.
3. If an extension cord is used the marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be
the same as the product. The extended cord must be arranged so that it will not drape
over the counter top or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over
accidentally.
