    La ringraziamo per aver scelto un apparato della famiglia +Power, la via più semplice e veloce per la costruzione di una rete dati senza alcun cablaggio. 1. Introduzione Uno dei maggiori inconvenienti nel preparare una rete dati in ambiente domestico/ufficio è certamente l'assenza del cablaggio richiesto. +Power 302 AV utilizza la rete elettrica come mezzo di trasmissione per l’invio dai dati.

     Almeno 256MB di memoria e 128MB liberi su disco e lettore CD-Rom  .NET Framework Il PC o il dispositivo che verrà collegato al Powerline Adapter deve avere una porta Ethernet con connettore RJ45.     4. LED +Power 302 AV dispone di 3 LED, 1 bottone ed una porta Ethernet. INFORMAZIONE POWER  Acceso verde quando l’apparato è correttamente alimentato.  Lampeggiante ogni 4 secondi quando l’apparato è in modalità IDLE (Stand By).  Lampeggiante verde una volta al secondo quando in modalità propagazione Sync.

    La presenza sulla linea elettrica di apparati compatibili con HomePlug 1.0 e/o Turbo avrà un effetto importante sulle prestazioni complessive. Non connettere l'apparato ad una presa multipla (questa potrebbe essere dotata di filtri che ne impediscono il corretto funzionamento). Evitare di collegare nelle prese adiacenti trasformatori, lampade alogene, Computer.

     Dopo qualche second entrambi i dispositivi faranno un reboot (tutti i LED saranno spenti). Terminate questa fase i LED PLC (oltre a Power e Ethernet) di tutti gli apparati saranno accesi e fissi ad indicare l’appartenza allo stesso gruppo (condivisione della password di cifratura).

Tramite questa device password è possibile cambiare, da remoto, la password di cifratura utilizzata dalla rete di dispositivi HomePlug AV.     Rimozione:  Accedere al Pannello di Controllo e cliccare su Programmi e Funzionalità.  Selezionare PowerLine Utility V1.0 e cliccare poi su Disinstalla.  Seguire le istruzioni a video per terminare la rimozione delle Utility di Configurazione. 7.1 Configurazione tramite Utility Per lanciare le Utility di configurazione, sono disponibili 2 modalità.
  • Page 19 MAIN Nel tab Main verranno mostrati tutti gli apparati powerline collegati direttamente al PC, una volta lanciata l’utility (Local Devices) oppure nella rete PLC (a patto che abbiano la stessa password di rete). Cliccare Connect, l'utility effettuerà una scansione della rete rilevando tutti i PLC con la stessa password di rete.
  • Page 20 Nel pannello posizionato in basso vengono mostrati tutti gli apparati rilevati nella rete logica. Il numero complessivo di apparti rilevati è mostrato nella voce:"x device(s) found". Le seguenti informazioni sono comuni a tutti i dispositivi rilevati:  Device Name: Viene mostrato il nome dell’apparato. Selezionarlo e cliccare su ReName per cambiare nome.
  • Page 21  Se la password è corretta, verrà visualizzato (nel campo password), altrimenti un errore vi inviterà a riprovare. Apparati non rilevati possono avere, escluse problematiche di funzionamento proprie o della rete elettrica, una Network PW diversa. Si invita a collegare, uno alla volta, gli apparati al PC, lanciare le utility e forzare una Network PW identica (cliccando su Change local NPW).
  • Page 22  Cliccare su OK. La password deve essere di almeno 8 caratteri ma inferiore a 24. Solo per gli apparati con la password inserita correttamente è possibile cambiare la NPW. Per gli apparati remoti, senza la password (DEK) inserita, verrà visualizzato, all'atto di cambaire la NPW, la finestra di errore sotto riportata.
  • Page 23 Change Local NPW Usare questo bottone per cambiare la password di rete dell'apparato locale. La password NPW standard utilizzata è HomePlugAV. Dispositivi con la stessa NPW appartengono alla stessa rete e possono comunicare tra di loro. Cliccare su OK. La password deve essere di almeno 8 caratteri ma inferiore a 24.

  • Page 26: Risoluzione Dei Problemi

    +Power 302 AV è compatibile con dispositivi HomePlug di altri produttori? Per ottenere il massimo delle performance è consigliato utilizzare i prodotti Atlantis di cui è stata testata l’interoperabilità. Il prodotto in questione è compatibile con lo standard IEEE1901/HomePlug AV e dunque dovrebbe funzionare con altri dispositivi che supportano questa tecnologia.
  • Page 27 Quali difficoltà presenta l’installazione di una rete HomePlug? Sostanzialmente nessuna. E’ sufficiente collegare il primo apparato alla presa elettrica e poi collegarlo alla periferica da mettere in rete. Ripetere poi l’operazione sul secondo apparato per creare la rete. L’utilizzo della funzionalità SYNC inoltre permette di mettere in sicurezza la rete senza l’installazione di software dedicato.
  • Page 28 Posso utilizzare +Power AV con filtri contro fenomeni di overvoltaggio? No, in generale questi filtri abbattono le performance e rendono instabile il link. Si consiglia di collegare +Power 302 AV prima del filtro. Apparati HomePlug AV per funzionare correttamente necessitano che le frequenze da 2Mhz a 30Mhz siano pienamente utilizzabili.

Introduction +Power 302 AV utilizes the existing electrical wiring in the house as a path to create a secured network of computers and Ethernet devices.

    3. System Requirements +Power AV is applicable with all TCP/IP operating systems with Ethernet port. Drivers are not required for this adapter. But the supplied Configuration Utility software to assign the network password operates only with Windows operating systems. Your computer must meet the following requirements in order to use the PowerLine HD Ethernet Adapter Configuration Utility.

    4. Device Design +Power 302AV has 3 lights indicator (LEDs), 2 buttons and an Ethernet port: MEANING POWER Lit when the device is power on. Blinking (every 4 seconds) when the device enters power saving mode. Blinking when the device is in the process of security setup. Lit off when power is off.
  • Page 37 SYNC Press for 1-3 seconds to create or join a HomePlug AV network. It can also be used to reset the Private Network Name to a random key. Press the Sync Button of device for 6-8 seconds to make sure that it is detached completely from any possible network group.

    5. Hardware Installation  Plug the Powerline HD Ethernet Adapter into an AC outlet (Do not plug device into a power strip or surge protector).  Plug one end of an ETHERNET cable into the Powerline HD Ethernet Adapter and plug the other end to a PC or device.

    6. SYNC Button Sync Button is used to add a HomePlug device to a Powerline network or enable it to join a network by pressing the Sync Button of the device to turn it into Broadcast state or Join state. There are 3 types of Sync Button trigger states: ...
  • Page 40  Press the Sync Button of device B or C of the BC network group for 1~3 seconds to turn it into Broadcast State, you should find the Power LED blinks steadily signifying it is in Broadcast state.  Wait for the devices to boot again and when the PLC LEDs of both devices lit steadily, you will now have device A joined with the BC network group.

    7. Utility Insert the Resource CD that comes with +Power 302 AV into the CD-ROM drive. Click the Utility button, and then click Run. In the Run dialog box, type CDRom:\A02-PL302Kit\Utility\ (where D: is your CD-ROM drive), and then click OK. Follow the instructions on the installation wizard.

    7.1 Opening PLC Utility Two ways to open HomePlug AV Utility: Right-click the Powerline Utility [ ] desktop shortcut and then select Open. Click the Start button, click Programs, click Powerline Utility and then click Powerline Utility. The User Interface The HomePlug AV Utility user interface is divided into tabs.

The top panel shows the local HomePlug devices connected to the network interface card (NIC) of the computer or remote devices that pass verification. Click Connect, and Powerline Utility automatically scans the powerline periodically for other HomePlugAV devices connected to it.

All devices are shipped with a default NPW (“HomePlugAV”). Devices with the same NPW are located in the same network.

To power cycle, disconnect and then reconnect HomePlug AV from the power outlet. To add a local device into a network: Select a local device in the top panel and click Change Local NPW.

    8. APPENDIX A: Frequently Asked Questions Can I use IEEE1901/HomePlug AV with older HomePlug versions? All IEEE1901/HomePlug AV versions can communicate with each other. HomePlug AV, however, is not backward compatible with HomePlug 1.0 releases. If you will use different versions of HomePlug AV in a single network, you need to use the PLC Utility Utility software to create a Private Network Name for all devices.
